Our History
The Mitchel Lincoln family of companies has been operating as a family since day one. You can count on each and every person behind the Mitchel Lincoln name contributing to that unique and nimble team spirit, demonstrating its family-inspired values in everything they do.
Mitchel Lincoln Packaging was founded in Montreal in 1965. Mitch Garfinkle led the company for four decades with a hands-on approach and an open-door philosophy, treating the company and employees as an extension of his family, a testament to the family business he inevitably built. To this day, we continue to honour Mitch’s approach by always striving to be nimble, adaptive and ahead of the competition from a sustainability, quality and technology standpoint.
While the business has grown over time, family members are still involved in the company’s operations. Mitch’s son, Jimmy, took over leadership after his father’s passing, working as President and CEO alongside his brother, David, who holds the role of Executive Vice President, and in more recent years, Jimmy’s children, Alex and Lindsay, have joined the group in managerial and marketing roles respectively.
As Quebec’s most productive manufacturer of corrugated packaging, we have served, and continue to be privileged to serve, some of Canada’s biggest brands across a multitude of industries and sectors. With the acquisition of Emballage Victoriaville Sheet Plant (now our Drummondville corrugated manufacturing facility) in 1985, Induscorr in 2014 and Imacor in 2016 we have been able to vastly expand our range of services, becoming the supplier of choice for corrugated cartons in Quebec. With our three corrugated manufacturing plants—employing more than 800 people in the province of Quebec, our sheet plant for small quantities, our association with Atlantic Packaging of Toronto and our partnership in the New Forest Paper Mill, we are positioned as leaders of the Quebec and the Eastern Canadian packaging market—all with a focus of serving you better!
